The brand was founded in 2023 by Julio, an architect by profession and a passionate believer in art, minimalism, and timeless design. Together with Jesús, they shaped a project that seeks to go beyond function — to create objects with identity.

1919 pays tribute to Bauhaus, a symbol of modern design and a philosophy that also inspires us: the union of form and function, aesthetics and utility, emotion and precision. Each piece is designed with intention and handcrafted with respect for the craft and the natural pace of the material.

Julio is an architect, designer, and the creative mind behind 1919. His background in architecture and deep passion for art have shaped an approach where aesthetics and function are inseparable, and every object is intentional. Throughout his career, he has worked and lived in the United States, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, building a design vision that is precise, thoughtful, and uniquely his own. This international perspective translates into furniture that blends the universal with the intimate — the rational with the emotional.

Every line, every material, every proportion he imagines is meant to go beyond the immediate and become part of something larger: a space to be lived, felt, and remembered.

With a background in International Business, he brings a strategic perspective that blends efficiency with excellence. Thanks to his meticulous approach, what starts as a sketch on paper becomes a piece with precision and character.

Brandon – Technical Precision with Aesthetic Sensibility

Brandon is our industrial design engineer, and his role is essential at every stage of the process. He brings together technical thinking with a rare aesthetic sensitivity. He refines each design, proposes smart solutions, and improves manufacturing methods.

With a sharp and detail-oriented eye, he finds the balance between form and function, making sure every piece is not only beautiful but impeccably built. His high standards raise the level of every piece that leaves our workshop.
